(I) talk of Christ . . . and (I) write according to (my understanding), that (my) children (and friends) may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. (2 Nephi 25:26)

One of the best, most concise marriage advice posts I've ever read
I would love to read a post from a similar place written by a divorced husband-it often looks like only woman reflect on experience in an attempt to learn to do better.
I found the reflection on intimacy within marriage deeply important-I'm amazed at how much less sour I am when I am choosing to allow our intimacy to flourish. Clearly sickness and exhaustion take their toll, but when we choose not to enjoy this wonderful gift,we choose to be poorer than we need be.
I'd love to see this wonderful gift more often explicitly honoured as an essential aspiration within our marriages, many unions founder due to it's neglect.,Indeed many have been taught implicitly that it is somehow more honourable to refrain from their own desires, thereby impoverishing their marriages and endangering their intimacy leaving both partners more vulnerable to temptation.Working through the issues that this deepest of unions faces us with is the most profoundly spiritual work, and deserves our best attentions.
I currently try to post original thoughts on Fridays, with quotes on Tuesdays. Feel free to comment on new or old posts. Comments on posts over a month old are moderated to avoid spam and will be released whenever I notice them. The comment policy is at the bottom of this page.
