Our Complaints Generally Are Far More Arrogant Than We Realize
I think we usually underestimate what the "condescension of God" really entails. When we get a sense of what it means for a God to become "as one of us" and allow us to “be ye therefore perfect” (“heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ”), it really is a fascinating thing to ponder how arrogant our complaints generally are.
I currently try to post original thoughts on Fridays, with quotes on Tuesdays. Feel free to comment on new or old posts. Comments on posts over a month old are moderated to avoid spam and will be released whenever I notice them. The comment policy is at the bottom of this page.
I welcome dissenting opinions about what I write and will never delete a comment solely because I disagree with its content. However, I will delete any and all comments that include personal attacks or insults (on individuals or the LDS Church) or blanket, thoughtless comments that reflect no effort to understand the post or individual comments - and any comment that I know to be patently untrue and inflammatory.
