Perhaps the Most Poignant Post on Begging I Have Read
Thanks for posting this Papa D. In my experience the US homeless generally do have access to most of their needs but there are many ifs, if as Donnell Allan points out they can negotiate the system, if they are not in a homeless unfriendly city, if they are aware they are off meds and need them but the truth is side effects of psych meds are generally terrible and few will stay on them. However if they look dirty sleepy sunburned or tan and perhaps lame they probably do need your help it generally means they've been on the street for awhile not at a shelter.
Personal thoughts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; links to thought-provoking posts on Tuesday and Thursday; New Year's Resolution post on Saturday; break on Sunday.
