Racism and the Atonement

Given the hoopla over Cliven Bundy's racist statements this week, I am providing the link to a post I wrote in March 2012 - after Prof. Bott's comments on race were broadcast.  Just as was the case at that time regarding Brother Bott's words, I am appalled by Bro. Bundy's words - but the same thing applies now that did then.  I have tried hard to condemn what was said without condemning those who spoke, even though I have called Bro. Bundy a "racist hypocrite".
