(I) talk of Christ . . . and (I) write according to (my understanding), that (my) children (and friends) may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. (2 Nephi 25:26)

Understanding Others Must Be Personal
If I really want to understand fully anyone who is different than I am in any way, that understanding can't be merely academic or philosophical or theological. It must be personal.I don't have to experience their actual lives, but I do have to experience their actual selves.
I currently try to post original thoughts on Fridays, with quotes on Tuesdays. Feel free to comment on new or old posts. Comments on posts over a month old are moderated to avoid spam and will be released whenever I notice them. The comment policy is at the bottom of this page.
I welcome dissenting opinions about what I write and will never delete a comment solely because I disagree with its content. However, I will delete any and all comments that include personal attacks or insults (on individuals or the LDS Church) or blanket, thoughtless comments that reflect no effort to understand the post or individual comments - and any comment that I know to be patently untrue and inflammatory.
