Ministry Sometimes Is Silence

We come over, and sit - Aaron (By Common Consent)

The comments are enlightening, as well.

Our oldest son's good friend is dying of cancer. He is in his thirties. I remember this young man when my son and he were in middle school. As my wife and I visit hospice, Thomas' dad is always there. I never know what to say but the dad just talks about anything. I can tell from his face that he is relieved if just for a moment to be free from thinking of his son's impending death. Sometimes words are not necessary. Just letting the person unburden themselves or know that you are there is enough.
