Sharpening Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness
One way to sharpen hunger and thirst is through deprivation - but another way to do so is to taste something so delicious that the mere memory of that experience makes you hunger and thirst for more.
So now I'm imagining some of my "best" spiritual experiences like they were a fabulous steak dinner with cheesecake for dessert!! And others would be really good pizza with the works. I realize, though, that I'm not going to get a spiritual meal like these every day... most days I'm happy knowing that Heavenly Father is giving me the bread and water that will continue to sustain me.
Personal thoughts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; links to thought-provoking posts on Tuesday and Thursday; New Year's Resolution post on Saturday; break on Sunday.

Amen, Patty! Thanks for adding that.
